CITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD
MANDATORY SEISMIC RETROFIT PROGRAM
City of West Hollywood initiated The Mandatory Seismic Retrofit Program by adopting ordinance 17-1004 on April 17, 2017. The Seismic Retrofit Program has begun on April 1, 2018 with notifications sent out to all property owners believed to need retrofitting to their owned structures.
The City of West Hollywood is also developing a Landlord/Tenant Cost-Sharing program and is urging participating in a Landlord/tenant cost sharing survey
The triggers for the program are based on the notification letter sent to the owners of each property. Road map to the adopted Seismic Retrofit Program are outlined below.
